A narrow escape

I dono how..But..things ve jus started to happen after I started postin in tis particular blog...Sumthin alarmin happened today..after 9.p.m..woke up very late..at 1.30.p.m..I decided to put an end to my frequent visits to de pasport office today..completed all de 'Everyday stuffs' n started my journey to de passport office..I asked one of my frenz to join me at de passport office..he was unlike me tat he came there on time..as usual, I was a BIT late..late by 40mins..he is such a kool headed person tat he smiled at me as soon as v met..then happened sumthin I never expected..Employees at de cash counter wud close de same wen de clock strikes 16:30:00:00..tat is, 4.30.p.m..V were made to stand in de que for sum 20mins n then came our turn..paid 1000bucks n got de passport receipt..JUS 20MINS..Can u expect tat?? JUS 20mins in a GOVT office..UNEXPECTED!!! left de place at such a fast pace..never in my life wil I again think of comin back to tis warehouse of lazy govt employees..Thanked god..My fren wanted to go to Tambaram for sum academic-related work..thought of goin by bike..de climate was so kool n pleasent n he said it luks lik there is gonna be a heavy downpour..so i drove my bike, came home, left it there n both of us tuk my favorite bus, 21G, tat runs between Broadway n Tambaram, to go to Tambaram..10mins after v reached our destination, his work was done n v were now free..went to Vasantha Bhavan..ate wel..really wel..never expected de hotel ppl to prepare a ghee roast wich was arranged in de form of a conical tent..for a dwarf, it wud form de best dwellin place..it was tat big..ATE WELLLL...came back to Mylapore(tats where I liv..) by 21G..tuk my bike..started drivin towards Anna nagar..tat where my fren lives..it tuk me around 40mins to drop him at his place..I always found a long drive all alone very borin..sumtimes I even feel sleepy while drivin, wit de helmet formin a warm n cozy cover for my head..It was then tat a terrible incident happened..not an incident actually..an accident precisely..


One of my classmates called up n asked me for a favor..tat was wen I slowed down my bike, switched on de left indicator n drifted towards de left..A guy drivin a grey Pulsar, probably 150CC, went past me at around 50KMPH..WROOOMM... Dint ve time to luk at de way he was drivin..I finished talkin wit my fren n I was abt to start my bike again..at tat moment, I heard a vehicle's wheels' screeching noise..then a huge THUD..Everythin I saw after those noises were completely frightenin..I saw de grey Pulsar, tat jus went past me by my left, completed 3 full rotations on de road before its headlight hit de hard surface of de road..Then de guy came to my mind n my view started followin him..He was one unlucky guy..He was in complete control of his bike wen I saw him last time, really last time for him, n he had his helmet placed on de bike's petrol tank..He drove too close to de platform, since he tried to overtake a load-truck frm its left, tat he hit de same head-first..De truck driver applied sudden brakes n made a screechin halt, before wich he ran over one of de motorcyclist's legs..I thought de guy was dead..5 seconds after de accident, I saw de motorcyclist movin..But, he immediately collapsed within a second..5 men came forward to help him, who, I suppose, was already dead..3 r 4 men lifted de heavy vehicle n moved it away frm de spot..He was laid down on de platform..It was then tat I found de guy was sufferin a very severe head injury..I saw profuse bleedin..I decided not to drive for de next 10mins..I ve tis fear of blood..I then realized tat I was really lucky against de sheer fate of de Pulsar guy..I was de one who was in front of him n I was de one who shud ve been involved in tis..

It makes me wonder wat made my classmate cal me at tat moment n talk for jus 15 seconds?? It was not a big favor at all n he cud ve called up sumone else who wasn't drivin at tat moment n who was at home.. Those crucial 15seconds made de difference..De pulsar guy, unfortunately, jus grabbed a death-wish frm me..I ve seen many accidents, most of wich involve me..But, those were in noway closer to tis one..In fact, I was too careful while drivin today..De irony is tat one is fortunate n de other one is completely unfortunate..Thanx to my classmate, Deepak Joel..He wud realize tat he has given me a 2nd chance to live..U know wat?? Today is his 21st b'day..I owe him anythin he expects..

So...my dear biker frenz..
U know never know wat wud happen to u..Take my words..20la poi sethavanum irukan...100la poi pozhachavanum irukan..Tat doesn't mean u shud drive at 100KMPH all de time..Its always advisable tat u don take chances wen it comes to ur life..It wud be gud if u drive slowly instead of tryin to take down de huge vehicle in de front..U rn't gonna lose anythin big within de crucial time for wich u stay behind de huge vehicles, wich, accordin to me, r 'Hell-riders'..I'm quite experienced wen it comes to bike ridin..But, tis incident, precisely accident, gives me de chill n I'm thinkin whether I shud even take my bike out for a ride durin wet days..

Life n road, for me, luk similar..In both de cases, nobody knows wat lies ahead..Be careful frenz..
Be very careful..
U rn't a cat to ve 9 lives..U jus got one..Don risk it....Don disappoint ur parents who're waitin at home to c u reach home safely..Apart frm combin ur hair n havin a luk at ur own beauty, u can also use de rear-view mirrors to ve a glance at de vehicles comin behind u..Drive carefully..
